Full of life day and night. By the serpent charmer at the fortune tellers passing by the species sellers, the fresh extracted orange juice without forgetting the mysterious women who tattoo you with henna.... this place, rich by animations, is magical by the multiplicity of senses which it develops: smell, sound, colours... You will taste some local specialty; sensible stomach has to be a bit careful, he must have the habit!!!Open all days from 9:00am to 22:00pm. Caution! On Friday afternoon many shops are closed.

It is very big and we think ourselves to be in a big labyrinth. You have to visit all the parts of this big souk. That of dampers practically change colours each day. The neibourhhood of forgers, the souk El Kelin for the leader, the babouches at the souk Smata, the species place, souk for the carpets by the bargains, is visited in three hours. On the way, you will pass by the Mdersa Ben Youssef, ancient koranic school, the most important of the Maghreb by the past. Doing some shopping in the souk require your being careful: the prices are always raise in an exorbitant manner.
Open all days from 8:45am to 12:45pm and from 14:30pm to 18:30pm
Entrance: 10 dhs for the palace only and 20 dhs with the minibar.


Cross the big walls of the Palace El Badii the "the incomparable Palace» built at the end of the XVI th century between 1578 and 1603 by Ahmed El Mansour. Jealous, Moulay Ismaïl destroys it and transferred the materials (gold, onyx and marble from Italy) in his residences in Meknes. Now it is no more but a vast esplanade with orange planted pools surrounded by high walls on top of which nests the storks. But the visit is still astonishing!
