Program: Tazarine at Merzouga

The Moroccan South got all the palette of the South Saharian surface: The immense Plateaux (Hamadas), a sea made out of bordered sand (Reg), grandiose dunes, escarped massifs, spotted Oueds of Tamaris and marvellous oasis with the scent of mint. With a Berbers team or Saharian, each road becomes eccentric and takes place on the rhythm of the caravan with sumptuous bivouacs at the borders of the palm trees or near the pits where nomads usually meet. Under the stars in the big Saharian silence and around the fire when the sight becomes dazzled, that the memories of the day succeed each other and we get completely absorbed by the magic of the desert.

Day 1 Arrival Marrakech.
Night hotel.

Day 2 Transfer in minibus by tizi n’Tichka and Ouarzazate after descending the valley of Draa then the road of Tazarine, meeting with the local bus and transfer by the path of Taghbalte meeting with the  bivouac camels team in the dunes of Taghbalte (7 hours of road and 1hour and a half of path).

Day 3 On foot by the gorges of Tamgante, along the Oued until Takecha bivouac 5 hours of walk.

Day 4 The crossing of the dunes of Oum Jrane and Oued Boukecheba then the dunes of Atchana bivouac beside the pit of Bouziane 6 hours of walk.

Day 5 Across the Tamaris of Maider and the dunes of Tzoulte arrived to the village of Ikhf N’Ighir bivouac in the palmerai 6 hours of walk.

Day 6 Passage of village of Tafraoute and the climb of Jbel Zireg, the descending towards the plateau of Timederte, the entrance of the gorges of M’hareche bivouac at pit 6 hours of walk.

Day 7 Passage of Tzi N’Igidou and the crossing the Oued Rheris arrived to Anou N’Bahallo bivouac 6 hours of walk.

Day 8 Along the gorges and the palmeraie of Mbirika the climb of the Jbel Tijekaht and the descending on the Aferdou N’Noualhine bivouac at the foot of Marabout visit of the piton of sacred rock 6 hours of walk.

Day 9 Walking along the beautiful Jbel Amassoul and the plateau of Hassi N’Oufella arrived to the pit of the Jbel Atrouss bivouac 7 hours of walk.

Day 10 The crossing of the Oued ZiZ until the Oued Hassi el Biad arrived to the big dunes of Erg Chebbi bivouac at the foot of the dunes of Tafoukte 5 hours walk.

Day 11 Departure early in the morning for the climb of the dune of Tafoukte then descend towards Merzouga meeting the minibus and transfer to Marrakech or Ouarzazate.
Night hotel.

Day 12 Transfer air port and fly France.
